Honeycomb paperboard gets more popular in the market by its’ cheap price, high strength and light weight. Especially in Japan, US and Netherland, developed counties, honeycomb cardboard is recognized as a green package as it save energy and environmentally friendly process. 2. Honeycomb Material VS Corrugated Board
2.1 Using the same material, honeycomb material has a better strength than corrugated board, the flat crushing strength of honeycomb cardboard reduce with the increase of hole diameter.
Honeycomb material and corrugated board have the similar pierced stress.
2.2 Side pressure of corrugated board is far more than honeycomb paperboard, horizontal side pressure is lower than honeycomb cardboard.
2.3 Corrugated Board has been already used in a variety of industries, but honeycomb paperboard is a new trend
