Wood fiber natural insulation is the thermal resistance in roofs, walls, floors and attics to reduce heat loss and to save on energy costs. The reduction of drying times and energy consumption are incessant goals in wood fiber insulation board industry. Recently, microwave technique has been established in different sectors of industry as an efficient drying method. Microwave drying of wood and wood based materials have recently been popular.
There is an investigation between convective drying methods and microwave drying machine. Convective drying of insulation boards,20mm thick, requires approximately 2 hours between 160℃and 220℃. Therefore, it is not cost-efficient and usually not used industrially. Accordingly, over 20mm thickness is produced by adhesive together several layers of thin boards. Microwave dryer can reduce the drying time, and the energy consumption per kilogram of evaporated water is comparable to convective dryer. The insulating boards of thickness greater than 20mm can be produced in an economic time by microwave technical.
MAX Industrial Microwave is a cost effective way to dry wood fiber insulating boards.
